Key points first
- NikahDM is a platform for adults to get to know each other; it does not guarantee members’ intentions or the outcome of a relationship.
- Harassment, fake profiles, scams, spam and disturbing behaviour are prohibited.
- You can freeze your account at any time. All of NikahDM’s current features are free.
1. Scope of the service and these terms
What is NikahDM?
NikahDM is an online platform where adults can create a profile, discover other members, set their preferences and message each other. It can be used for purposes such as marriage, friendship or a serious relationship. NikahDM does not guarantee a member’s intentions, the accuracy of their statements, their behaviour or the outcome of a relationship; members decide for themselves whether to keep talking, meet or share information.
Which documents apply together?
These terms set the general framework for using the platform. The Community Guidelines describe unacceptable behaviour; the Privacy Policy and the KVKK Notice explain how personal data is processed. By signing up you accept these terms.
2. Membership, age and account details
You must be an adult
NikahDM is only for people aged 18 or over; the age given at sign-up must be between 18 and 99. Don’t misstate your age, don’t create an account for a minor and don’t let anyone else use your account. Accounts suspected of belonging to someone under 18 can be reported, and their access may be restricted during the review.
Accurate information and account security
You are responsible for keeping your sign-up and profile information accurate and up to date, protecting your password and reporting any suspected unauthorised use without delay. Don’t use someone else’s name, photo or identity. Email verification is not identity verification; profile details are what members say about themselves. If you sign in with Google, Google’s own terms also apply.
3. Profiles, Discover and interactions
Your profile content
Only add profile text and photos you have the right to share; photos must be of you. Your live photos and profile details are shown to logged-in members who can see your profile. Discover ordering may vary with your preferences, filters and technical criteria; no particular number of views, likes or matches is promised.
Interacting with other members
Likes, favourites, profile visits and messaging make it easier to get to know each other; they don’t oblige any member to reply, start a relationship or share information. Don’t use other members’ profile information for advertising, data collection, tracking or commercial purposes outside the platform.
4. Messaging and private communication
Messages you send
Messages are delivered to the recipient and appear in the chat history. There is no feature to recall or edit a sent message, so check the content and recipient before sending. You can archive conversations or remove them from your own list; this does not delete the messages from the other person’s view. It is technically impossible to stop the other person from reading, screenshotting or keeping a message.
Privacy and review
Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Private messages are not routinely read; in case of a report, a security incident or a legal obligation, the authorised team may review the relevant conversation only to the extent necessary. Don’t publish other people’s messages or photos without permission, and don’t share passwords, verification codes, bank or identity details.
5. Prohibited behaviour
Respect and safety
Harassment, persistent unwanted contact, threats, blackmail, hate speech, fake identities, attempted fraud, pressure for money or investments, asking for identity or payment details, sharing private content without consent and any abuse directed at minors are prohibited. If the other person wants to stop talking, respect their decision. Behaviour not listed here is not allowed simply because it isn’t mentioned if it is harmful or unlawful.
Platform integrity
Unsolicited bulk messages, automated accounts or bots, phishing links, malware, unauthorised advertising, circumventing security measures, evading a restriction with another account or targeting a member with false reports are prohibited. See the Community Guidelines for detailed examples.
6. Reports, review and appeals
How reports are handled
Reports made from a profile or chat are recorded and may be reviewed by the team; no review time is promised. The person you report is not told. Depending on the violation, measures such as removing photos or content, restricting access or closing the account may be taken. A report on its own does not automatically lead to a sanction.
Decisions and appeals
Access may be restricted where necessary for the safety of the service or other members. If you believe a decision was wrong, you can reach us through the channels on the Contact page. Closing an account does not mean that past messages and records that must legally be kept are immediately deleted everywhere.
7. Freezing and deleting your account
Freezing
When you freeze your account in Settings, your profile no longer appears in Discover or searches, you can’t send or receive messages and you are signed out on all devices. Your data is not deleted; you can reopen your account by signing in with your email and password. A restriction applied by the team is not a freeze that the user can lift on their own.
Deletion
Self-service account deletion is not available yet; in the meantime you can freeze your account. When deletion becomes available, the process and timelines will be explained on this page and in Settings. For your rights regarding personal data, see the KVKK Notice.
8. Content rights and third parties
How your content is used
You must own the content you upload or have the necessary permission. No transfer of ownership of your profile, photos or messages is requested; they are used technically only as far as needed to provide the service (e.g. showing photos in different sizes, delivering messages), keep it secure and meet legal obligations. Any promotional use beyond this requires separate permission.
External services
When you use independent services such as Google sign-in or links to NikahDM’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube), that provider’s own terms also apply. The content and data practices of external sites are not under NikahDM’s control.
9. Paid features and payments
Current situation
All of NikahDM’s current features are free; there are no purchases, subscriptions or automatic payments on the site. A mention of a feature that may be offered in the future does not mean it is on sale.
If offered in the future
If a paid feature is offered, the total price, payment method, duration, any automatic renewal and the cancellation and refund terms will be shown clearly before purchase. Consumers’ statutory withdrawal and other mandatory rights remain unaffected.
10. Access and changes to the service
Technical availability
Some features may be temporarily unavailable because of security, maintenance, network conditions or third-party infrastructure. Problems are fixed with reasonable effort, but uninterrupted access, the ability to contact every member or any member always being online is not guaranteed.
Changes
The features of the service and these terms may be updated. The current version is always published on this page with its last-updated date. For material changes affecting your use, the notices required by applicable law will be given.
11. Responsibilities of users and the platform
Meeting in real life
NikahDM provides a technical space for members to meet; it cannot guarantee a member’s identity, statements, intentions, finances or behaviour outside the platform. Be careful when deciding to meet in person, send money, open external links or share personal information, and report suspicious situations on the site. See the Safety page for all our tips. In an emergency, contact the authorities where you are.
Statutory rights remain
These terms do not remove rights under consumer law or other mandatory provisions, and do not exclude liability for intent or gross negligence or any other liability that cannot legally be limited. If one provision is invalid, the others remain valid.
12. Contact and disputes
Get in touch
If you have a question about membership, account status, safety or these terms, see the Help Center and the Contact page. For requests about personal data, refer to the KVKK Notice. Applicable consumer, data protection and other mandatory rules and statutory complaint routes remain unaffected.
